I graduated from Dalton High School in 2002. I know this is shocking news to many, but I truly loved my teachers at DHS. I was an active member of many clubs: FCA, French Club, National Honor's Society, Pep Club, etc.

I grew up playing nearly every sport possible: slow-pitch softball, fast-pitch softball, travel team softball, basketball, tennis, and dance. I was on the varsity tennis team in high school. I danced for 14 years, including the Dream Team. This was a competition dance team that had the honor of performing in the 2001 Gator Bowl halftime show in Jacksonville, FL - where it SNOWED on us.

I graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Mathematics Education.

I began pursuing a Master of Science in Mathematics at Georgia State University in 2010 and transferred to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2012. I was blessed to be awarded a Graduate Teaching Assistantship during the last year of my degree. I'm not sure how I did it, but I was able to work full-time at Northwest, attend two graduate math classes four days a week, and then squeeze in an additional seven hours of work at UTC's Math Plaza each week. On May 3, 2014, I graduated with my Masters in Mathematics. This has been on my list of things to accomplish in my life, and I am truly blessed to have achieved this goal.

I started teaching in January 2007 at Northwest Whitfield High School. Since then,
I have given instruction to approximately 830 students.

I have taught the following subjects:

- Applied Algebra
- Algebra I
- Analytic Geometry Support
- Geometry
- Math 2
- Math 2 Support
- Math 3
- Math 4
- Adv. Math Decision Making

If I had to pick my LEAST favorite math subject... statistics, hands down. My favorite math subject is anything BUT statistics. My students mean everything to me. I like to create an atmosphere that is rich for learning, but also relaxed for fun.

My husband, Brad, and I met in Atlanta through a mutual friend. We went on our first date on March 25, 2004 to Cafe Intermezzo in Buckhead. Fast forward four years to February 21, 2008. Brad proposed to me at the Cliffs of Moher in County Clare, Ireland. We were married the following year on April 11th with Brad's grandfather officiating. It was a perfect day for both us and our families!

In 2014, we were blessed with the arrival of our son, Ryals. He weighed a whoppin' 9 lb 11 oz and measured 21.5" in length. We also have a fur-baby, Remi, who is a 7 lb Yorkie.

I am an only child with three older half-siblings: Devin, Derek, and Dayna (in no particular order).
