I am a lifelong resident of Rossville, Georgia and have worked in law enforcement my whole career. I attended Rossville High School. After graduating high school in 1985, I enlisted in the Tennessee Air National Guard as a Security Forces (Military Policeman) to pay my way through college. I am in my 26th year with the Air Force and I am currently the Unit Training Manager for the 118th Security Forces Squadron in Nashville, Tennessee. I have served in the Gulf War and have deployed three times under Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.

In 1990, I graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a BS in Criminal Justice. Upon graduating, I worked briefly for the Chattanooga Police Department and finally settled with the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office, where I retired in 2011 after 20 years of service. During my time with Catoosa County, I worked in each of the divisions from Detention Officer, Patrolman, Narcotics Detective, K-9 officer and finally School Resource Officer. I began teaching Public Safety and assisting as a track and field coach in 2011.
