Subjects Taught
AP World History, World History

I am a graduate of Lakeview Ft. Oglethorpe High School Class of 1993. I attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and received a B.S. in Secondary Social Science Education with a focus on history and geography. After finishing my degree I attended Tennessee Tech University and received my M.S. in Instructional Leadership in 2005. Currently I am enrolled in the Valdosta State University online program to obtain my Ed.S in Exemplary Teaching. I hope to complete this degree in 2014.

I began teaching in 2001 at Lakeview Middle School. I taught at LMS for one year before making the move to Ringgold Middle School to teach 7th grade social studies and coach 8th grade basketball. After teaching for six years at RMS I moved to Ringgold High School to teach world history and U.S. history. Last year I attended the AP world history institute workshop and received my AP accreditation. This will be my sixth year at RHS and it's been fabulous.

I was born in Chattanooga, TN and have lived in Ringgold my whole life. I attended Battlefield Elementary, Lakeview Middle, and LFO High School. I played baseball and basketball in high school and I continue my love for sports to this day. I coached basketball for six seasons at Ringgold Middle and I became the RHS boys basketball head coach in 2008.  I also continue to play in multiple men's soccer and basketball leagues in the Chattanooga area. I met Nicole Livingston in 2004 and in 2006 we were married. We have a beautiful three year old daughter named Kennedy and a twelve year old Schnauzer named Berkley. I have led an educational tour to Europe for the past four years for students with good behavior and exceptional grades. We are scheduled to travel to London in the spring of 2014 and to Croatia in the spring of 2015.
